Scrapbook Charity Crop @ Ever After Scrapbooks

Please mark your calendar for an amazing event!
Ever After Scrapbooks
Sat, June 28th 9am to 9pm

The Scrapbook Royalty Affiliate Event sponsored by Ever After Scrapbooks is $100. Your day will include a 12 hour crop beginning with a light breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner, a workshop, make and takes, silent auction and so much more!

Registration has begun and the seating is limited to 50 people! This is such a great cause and I hope you all will attend the crop or participate in the make and takes. The make and takes are FREE to the croppers and offered to the public for a small fee. Please visit us at the store during the event or make a direct donation to the Pierce Family Fund (Washington Mutual #93444 80019). Your donations will make a difference! All of the funds raised at the event will directly benefit the Pierce Family.

A little background information about GySgt Troy Pierce USMC Ret and his family.
GySgt Troy Pierce USMC Ret served his country and the US Marine Corps for 22 years. During those 22 years, his lovely bride and high school sweetheart, Jana, always stood by his side. Troy and Jana would have celebrated their 24th anniversary this October. Troy is also survived by his two children - Trey and Heather. Troy was a dedicated husband, father and an outstanding US Marine.

Upon Troy's retirement from the Marine Corps, he was experiencing severe digestive symptoms. It took eight months to diagnose Troy with pancreatic cancer. (Pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest cancers to diagnose for the symptoms mimic so many other diseases and disorders). After the diagnosis was determined, Troy immediately had surgery to have the malignant tumor removed. After surgery, Troy began a rigorous chemotherapy regime for eight months and six weeks of radiation. Troy fought a gallant fight - almost two years. His wife, children and closest friends were at his side when Troy passed away at home.

Although Troy had medical coverage, there are many costly medical expenses that Jana is now responsible for. Please understand that while a Marine is active duty, he receives full coverage, but once that Marine retires from active duty, the Marine receives coverage but at a cost. There are co-pays and deductibles to be met. Troy's medical expenses has put the Pierce Family in a hard financial perpetual bind. Trey is a freshman in college at Cal State Fullerton; and like any parent, you want your child to excel and have the best education. Heather is also enrolled at Maric College studying to be a nurse. Any help that you can offer to aide this family is most graciously appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Cruise Class Sneek Peek

As you all know...
I have been known to go on a few cruises every year...lol
Well...right now I will be going in June & October this year...
And so far...
February & April 2009!
On each cruise, it's not just open scrapbooking...
There's so much to do...
Games, socializing, give-aways and...
Classes, classes, classes!
On a weekend cruise you get four classes!
Two page layouts AND
Two mini projects...
On a longer cruise you get six or more classes!
So I have been working on my new classes for the upcoming cruises...
Here's a sneek peek at just ONE of the layout classes...
Just to wet your whistle!

I used the new MOXXIE paper and stickers to design this two page layout...
Super cute and bright!
So what are you waiting for?

Come join me for some fun and relaxation on the high seas!
