One of my albums is on tvweekly.com!
the Scrapbook Lounge
It's the Baby word book!
It was so cool when I saw it!
I think I screamed - because everyone in the house stopped what they were doing and looked at me...then realizing that I was just crazy...they all started to laugh at me!
It's just a short 9 minute video!

It's the 11th Anniversary of My 29th Birthday!

Yes it's true...
today is my birthday!
My mom called me today and asked me if I was ok?!?
Why wouldn't I be? I said...
no need to be depressed!
I'm too busy to feel old!
My kids keep me feeling young and tired too!
My hunny brought me roses...
A monster...
and a Lemon Meringue Pie...
He knows exactly what I like!

So now...I'm going to hang out with my friend Elaine...
and whoever else shows up today...
and I'm going to relax and scrapbook!
I have had so many warm wishes from my friends today!
I'm so grateful and blessed to have them all in my life!

It's my birthday...shout hooray!
I'm turning 40 - TODAY!
One year older and wiser, YEAH!
It's my birthday - (clap) - TODAY!

Crazy Two Week Wrap Up

WHEW!!!
I have to tell you...
Since the beginning of the month...
I have been sooooo busy...
Here's a little re-cap of what I've been up to...
March 6th - 9th:
Weekend Retreat in Running Springs
WOW! What an awesome weekend!
(I will have pictures soon!)
12 of my friends and I went to a scrappin' cabin
up in the mountains for a weekend!
It was so great to leave all your stuff in one spot
work when you want...go for a little nap...eat...
Stay up until 5 in the morning scrapbooking! Watch a little T.V.
Go into town to visit the local scrapbook store
BTW: Pages of Time in Big Bear is so awesome!
Over all...I finished 27 pages in the four days...
Had I not had picture printer malfunction...it would have been more!
But I'm not bitter! Not at all!
I threw in a class at Collective Journey in Redlands
on Saturday...awesome!
And discovered this cool little boutique next door...
Shop Suey Boutique!!! OMGosh!
I am addicted to purses...sometime I'll have to take
a picture and show you! It's bad!
The weekend ended way too soon!
I would have loved to stay there a week!
Thanks to all my pals for making the weekend so memorable!
But it was nice to get home and see the boys...
and my honey!

March 10th through the 14th:
Several classes...
always like to teach!
traveled around southern california...

March 15th - Tour de Crop with It's About Time:WOW!!! That was my first experience going on or hosting a bus tour!
It was so much fun!
I was the Sparkle Bella Bus Hostess!
I took the job title seriously!
Adding glitter everywhere!
Some of the ladies that were at the retreat the previous weekend also joined me on the bus tour...we could be spotted by our matching green feather boas!
(Pictures to come tomorrow!)
We left Murrieta and headed to San Dimas...
We played games and gave away prizes galore...
Arriving in San Dimas after a little more than an hour
to Scrappin' Good Times...
music and craziness filled the air!
Everyone there was so amazing! Super nice!
What a nice store!
My favorite part was all the amazing ideas that lined the walls!
The ladies did a really cute make n take...
and then we had lunch!!!
Super! Tacos from Zendajas' (sp)! I told the guy serving the food...
I was going to take him home with my...
I could have those tacos everyday!
Everyone at Scrappin' Good Times were so nice...but it was time to leave.
Off to Vista to see the Pink Pineapple Girls...
That was a long drive...but we filled it with
The scrapbook edition of "Deal or No Deal"
Several contestants tested their luck at picking numbers to win prizes!
In the end...several participants...won some fabulous parting gifts -
Sorry, no one walked away with a Million Dollars!
We arrived at Pink Pineapple and were greated by some smiling faces!
I always love going there...such a cute little store!
Lots of yummy stuff to choose from!
So then it was finally time to head back to IAT!
But still much more to do...
It was time to crown the Bella of the Bus!
The ladies were given a scavenger hunt list...
their mission...to collect as many of the items as they could!
Their goal...Bella of the Bus!
Our winner acheived this by collecting 38 out of 41 of the items
(which included two bounus items)
Kathy our new Bella received a beautiful sparklie crown, pink and white feather boa and some lovely parting gifts...
Also in our corination ceremony, 6 Bella Princesses were crowned for their acheivemnets...
Once back at IAT in Murrieta...
we were treated to many wonderful things...
Lorene gave away some prizes...
Laura (my fellow CS design team member) did a demo using Clear Scraps Items...
and (aaaaaaaa "ANGELS SINGING") two massage therapists!
I was all over the 5 minute massage!

Some of the ladies stayed to scrapbook...
but I had to get to my boys' baseball games...
Trevor and Logan played (and won!) Major Yankees
Trevor had an awesome play in right field - got a ground ball and then threw it to third baseman to get the runner out!
Logan got an awesome hit and then played great at first base...
I swear that kid is part rubber the way he stretches to get the catch! I think that's part of the goalie in him!
Then we stayed to watch Korey's team play...Jr. Yankees
Korey had a single and an awesome catch in left field!
I yelled so loud when he caught the ball that the people in front of me all jumped!
sorry...

Last night...Michael's baseball team - Sr. Mets
had a double hitter...
the first game they won 8 to 6...
and the second game they won 9 to 0!!!
That was a long day! And cold...
thanks to Scott and Kat for sharing the heat so that we weren't all ice cubes by the end of the game...
The boys played awesome! Michael made a couple great plays in the outfield but wasn't able to connect on the ball...well...it's only the first games...he'll get it!

So there you go...
I was so tired that I actually slept in today until 10:30!
I never do that!
But with the kids on Spring Break for the next two weeks...
We're going to take it a little easy this week...
then next week...I'm off running again!

Have a very Happy Easter!

Blog Tag

I got tagged by Cathy(my new friend from the Clear Scraps Team)

Link to your tagger and post these 3 rules on your blog.
1) Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
2) Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
3) Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So, here goes:
7 Random Facts about me...

1) I started scrapbooking when I was 10 years old...It all began as a school project in 5th grade and we were doing a history on a family member...I chose my Grammy of course...and the rest is history!
2) I had my 4 children in 4 years and all before I was 30 years old! My oldest was born Dec 31, 1992 and my youngest was born Dec 6, 1996...and there are no twins! So for 3 weeks out of every year...my children's ages are all one year apart!
3) I don't really like to cook...in fact, if I could go out to dinner every night, it would suit me just fine! But there is one thing I love to make and I'm pretty much the only person in my family that can make it...it is my Grandma Martin's "Feather Pudding". She made it every Thanksgiving and Christmas...and now that's my job at family get togethers!
4) I was a journalism/English major in College...and I was on the newspaper staffs at both my High School and College...I wrote the fluff pieces...movie reviews, Pep Squad stuff, what club was doing what, etc...but my Senior Year in HS I got the most amazing and sad assignment to write about the Space Shuttle that exploded.
5) I can still to this day do the SPLITS and a CARTWHEEL! Just cuz I'm a little fluffy and squishy...doesn't mean I'm not flexible!
6) My husband is 3 years younger than I am...
7) I love Disney anything! Well especially TINK! But for the past 6 years, we've had Disneyland passes and our Dream Family Vacation would be to go on the Disney Cruise and spend a week at Disney World!

I am tagging: (I only have 5 because I don't have too many friends that blog yet...)

Hey Sugar Acrylic Album

Well here it is...
A few pics to tantalize your tastebuds!
Sorry it's been a long time in coming...
but my lens on my really nice camera is at the
camera doctor's office...
These pictures aren't that great...
I took them with my little cheapie digital...
I'm so spoiled with my really nice camera!
Anyway, you get the idea!

What to bring to class with you:
Scissors
Stapler
Adhesive (GLUE DOTS are preferred)
Pop Dots/3D foam tape
Foam Paint brush
Ink
- I used Colorbox Cat's Eye Chestnut Roan for the papers and I used brown STAZ-ON for the acrylic album
Stickles - Icicle or Crystal
X-acto Knife
Everyone should come to class with a basic class kit...
if you're not sure what should be in a class kit...
see one of my older posts...probably early last year sometime
and I outline what should be in your kit :)

This is a cute book and I promise...
Only 4 buttons in this one...not 23!
The paper and embellies are super cute too!
The stickles add that something extra to it!

Class spaces are filling up...
so check the calendar and sign-up soon!

Well although I live in California...

this is still pretty exciting!
They were featured on their local NBC news program...

check it out:

Clear Scrap On the News

I went to go look at it...
and there was my BABY book sample that I made!
It was a little shocking to see it on a news stations website!
Then I watched the program and there it was again!
That was so cool!

Anyway...just wanted to share!

A Really Bad Day!

Can I just vent a little?!?
Yesterday was probably the worst day that I have had in a really long time...
I understand that there are people starving in the world
And compared to the hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods, etc
My day was a little bee sting in comparison..
But for me while I was going through it...
It was a really bad day!
I like to think that I'm a positive person...
Try to see the glass is half full...
But I really think I should have gone back to bed yesterday!
First off...I didn't get product for a class that I was holding yesterday!
So I spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning
scrambling to find a suitable replacement...
Not an easy task when you're talking an entire acrylic album!
But I have to give a shout out to my "new" best friends at
Collective Journey - Shannon & Melissa
They saved me by cutting pieces of acrylic to make books!
TWO HOURS!
They rock!
You'd think that would be it...
because for a scrapbook teacher...
not getting product can make for a really bad day!
So I was traveling to Collective Journey...
generally about a 1 hour drive from where I live...
I left 2 hours before the class...just in case...
and so I could help cut out the acrylic pieces..
Anyway...I was driving on the 215 and all of a sudden...
the car in front of me slammed on their brakes...
I of course did the same thing!
I must have had some guardian angels watching over me!
Because when you rear-end someone after traveling 70 mph...
there is generally more than a little dent!
But that's all there was!
We exchanged info and I was on my way again...
By this time I was shaking so bad...
My head was pounding...so I found the IB800 and took one!
I had to press on...
I had a class to get to..
I was determined!
So 15 minutes before the class starts...I arrive!
Not much help in the cutting process...
sorry girls.
But after distributing the acrylic pieces...
and the day that I had...
we had a great class...
As the class wore on, I did stiffen up!
This morning I'm even more stiff...
I can't turn my neck to the right...
But I figure in the big picture it could have been much worse!
So I'll go see the chiropracter and massage therapist tomorrow...
I'll get put back together...
So thanks for letting me share!
I feel much better now!
have a fabulous day -
terina

Happy Valentine's Day

XOXO!!!
Love to everyone on this Valentine's Day!
SMOOCH!
Here's what my valentine brought me this morning...
Roses and a pick me up!
Who needs chocolate!

Love to my valentine...Kurt
and Love to you all!

CHA re-cap!!! Oh What Fun!!!

Hello Everyone!
Can I just say...
I'm EXHAUSTED!!!
In a good way though...
I had so much fun...
but lots of work too!
Sunday:
After getting off to a late start...
(Trevor got the flu...mommy stuff comes first!)
I arrived and dropped off my samples to the Clear Scraps booth
Janet & Jackie and the gang were so sweet!

I have to tell you...
This was the buzz booth of the show!
The products are awesome!
Lots of great things are happening for them!
Then I was off to explore the show floor...
Hung out with my sparkly friends Mel, Amy and Lisa
from It's About Time in Murrieta (my LSS)
Love you girls!
We stopped to do some star sightings...
First Anna Griffen...
so nice...
Then Lisa's favorite...Elsie!
I met Elsie!
She is super sweet...

She has some really cute paper lines coming out!
My favorite of course was the sports line!
Never enough sports stuff for this mom!
(side note...I hate this picture of me! but Elsie's so cute!)
Anyway...more exploring...
Saw lots of cute new paper and stuff.
Then my friend, Tammy and her mom (also my friend) Sheila
came to CHA...and we hung out the rest of the day on the show floor...
Here's a picture of them enjoying a make n take...

Tammy and I have been friends for a long time...
Since we moved almost two years ago...I don't get to see her very often...
It was so awesome to see her! And Sheila too...
cry...cry...sob...sob...sniff...sniff...
ok...I'm better now! Love you Tammy!
So we just mulled around and drooled over all the awesome stuff!
Monday:
Monday was a working day for me...
I helped out taking stores around to show them new lines
and helped write orders!
It was so much fun because I got to see new stuff as well...
and I talked to some new and past stores about teaching classes in their stores...
Be on the look out in Whittier (Screamin' Susie's), Covina (Hearts n Crafts), Vista (Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks), Carlsbad (Everafter) and Torrance (A to Z Scrapbooks) for classes in the very near future!
Found Petaloo...not a big flower fan...
but they made a believer out of me!
Super cute stuff!
Tattered Angels...OMGosh!
LOVE their shimmer spray stuff!
Gotta try it on a layout or something!
Cosmo Cricket...Cogsmo is the bomb!
met Jon the warehouse guy...
I think he was overwhelmed by his new found fame...
If you don't know what I'm talking about...
go to Cosmo Cricket's website to see all the funny goings on!
Sandylion had lots of new stuff going on there!
Of course KP's stuff was my favorite!
She unveiled two new lines and then an addition to an older one!
I'm sure I'll have to do some projects with all of that!

Kelly was hard at work teaching a make n take...
but took a little time out to take a picture with a friend...
Thanks to Mario (KP's hubby) for taking the picture for me...
What awesome people! Love...not like them so much!
Tuesday:
A short day for me...
but busy none the less!
Spent some time with my friend Lynn...
She is the owner of Once Upon A Memory in Huntington Beach
It was great to hang out and look at some new products
Saw my friend and designer Helen Naylor from Sonburn...
cute stuff! Forgot my camera this day! Darn it!
Two cute paper lines that I found at CHA...
Pink Paislee...
to see more go to their website...www.pinkpaislee.com
Paper Trunk
to see more go to their website...www.papertrunk.com
Very talented people!
I can't wait to get my hands on their products to see what I can come up with!
And then back to the busiest booth of the whole show...
Clear Scraps!
Seriously!
Everytime you go by their booth...
It was so full...it spilled over into all the aisles surrounding it!
Way to go...
Super tired by this point...
had to leave...
Big things ahead!
Wednesday:
Only there for two hours...
but got some stuff to make more samples...
can't tell you all about it now...
but I promise...
when it happens I'll tell everyone all about it!

Sorry this was a long post...
but I just love CHA!
I wish you all can join me when I go...
but for those that didn't get to go...
I hope this helps you feel more apart of it...
without the sore, tired and blistered feet!

ttfn,
terina

Off to CHA I go!!!

Well...I think I'm ready...
I'm not packed yet of course,
but all my samples are made!
I hope you've all liked the projects I've posted over the past couple of days!?!
They will be on display in the Clear Scraps booth for CHA
So I will be gone for the next few days...
until at least Wednesday...
For those who don't know what CHA is...
it's this awesome convention...
with all the manufacturers in one spot!
And they show off all their brand new products!
it's kinda like the Expo for the scrapbook stores...
they buy the cool new stuff so we can buy it at their store!
I'll post pictures of all the fun stuff that I find when I get back!
So have a great week and I talk to you when I return!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

Hello All My Fabulous Blog Viewers!
Can I tell you a little secret?!?
I was feeling a little "Bah Hum Bug-ish" lately!
I'm not sure why exactly...
I love Christmas!
It's my favorite time of year!
But this year, especially, I was feeling a little blue...
I have a few theories...
1) My children aren't little kids anymore - heck, my baby will be 11 in a few days! I miss the wonder and magic of the holidays when you are with little, little children.
2) I'm so busy! My mother would say - "Too Busy!" and then my grandmother would agree!
3) There's no snow in Murrieta!!! It just doesn't feel like Christmas without snow!!!
4) Christmas has become so commercial! It's all about buying things and getting things...
Christmas to me has taken on a whole new meaning...
It was all a little depressing...
Then I went to church yesterday...
and what do you know...
the lesson was on how to bring Christ back into Christmas!
So I started thinking:
"Why do I celebrate Christmas and what does it mean to me?"
I went back to the reasons I was feeling so blue and looked at them another way -

1)My sweet Logan...he's 12, and he has a heart of gold!
We were walking through the store just a couple days ago and he saw some ornaments...
He grabbed my hand and said "Mom! Look at these! I think we should do the whole tree in just these colors! Wouldn't that look cool?!?"
I looked at him - those beautiful blue eyes twikled - and he was 5 years old again!
He was so excited!
So we bought some new ornaments!
He could hardly contain himself!
The excitement spread!
He got Michael to help him set up both our trees...
Then they had dad get down the ornament and decoration boxes...
Logan and I went through all the boxes and we set out the decorations.
Then we laid out all the new ornaments that we bought and added some we already had that matched the color scheme and we started decorating the tree.
Listening to Christmas music in the background as we worked...
We were about done, when Logan made an observation "Mom, it's so sparkly!"
He was right - it is very sparkly!
We'll be decorating the other tree tonight!
That's the tree that the special ornaments are put on!
You know the ones I'm talking about...
The ones handmade by four very special boys over the past 11 years or so...
The ones that make me cry, happy/sad tears every time we put them on the tree!
Even though my children are big boys...
They love Christmas, just as much as I do!
I'm so grateful to them for showing me that no matter how old they get, it is still a magical time of year!

2)Yes, I'm busy...and I feel that I've kinda let a few things slip through my fingers this year...
our family picture didn't get taken.
For the first time in my 15 year marriage...
my husband asked me when we were going to have our picture taken!
Normally I drag him kicking and screaming!
(not really, but it's almost as bad as going to the dentist for him!)
It's ok...I'm not stressing about it...I'm letting it go...
Deep Inhale - and long EXHALE....
We'll get it done while the kids are out of school for break!
And instead of Christmas cards...
New Years cards or Valentine's Cards!
I have also made a list for 2008 of things to do starting in July to help prepare for the Holidays...I'll let you know how that turns out!
I am reminding myself the Cub Scout Motto - "Do Your Best!"

3) Oh get over the snow thing!
Jesus was born in the desert!
And in a stable no less!
It's not what's around you -
It's who's around you!
Family and friends!
Celebrating the birth of our Savior!
And it's cold in the snow!

4) I was listening yesterday to some amazing ideas on how to help our family have a more Christ centered Christmas...
Some of our traditions are already in place to help with that...
But this year we are trying to find ways to serve others rather than thinking only of our selves!

So to conclude...
Christmas to me is to celebrate the birth of our Savior...
and to be with my family...
It means love - love of the Savior and love of my family!
I'm so thankful to my husband and children!
It's the little things they do that show their love for me!
I'm also so thankful to all of you - my friends, students and blog viewers!

Sorry I got so wordy...
But I have had a change on my outlook...
Like the Grinch...
My heart grew three sizes today!

Have a very Merry Christmas!
Hugs and Kisses to all!
